Serving as a CIT is an excellent opportunity to get valuable hands on experience in leading games, guiding small groups, child development, behavior management, and how to assist senior counselors.

This is an intense learning experience. Campers who meet the qualifications by the sessions end may be able to serve in the capacity of a volunteer Jr. Counselor at camp this summer.

Counselor-in-Training

The river is calling.  Campers will hit the water each day in a variety of watercraft including canoes, kayaks, and rafts as they explore local rivers and creeks.  Two trips will be led by River and Trail Outfitters, one of the top outfitters in the area.

River Adventure

Adventure Camp offer something new each day.  Campers will hike, soar on the high ropes, work together on the challenge course, travel on the Potomac River, and visit historic Harpers Ferry, WV.  Traditional camp activities like swimming, arts and crafts, group games, and campfires add to the fun while Bible study and worship help campers develop a relationship with Christ in a safe and encouraging environment.

Adventure Camp

When the sun goes down the fun comes up for this nocturnal camp.  Campers turn to night owls and  stay up all night.  Traditional camp activities are modified to be done at night in addition to night games, campfires, and cooking over a fire.  This popular camp allows teens to experience fun, friends, and faith at all hours.

Late Night Adventure

Campers will learn basic horsemanship including grooming, saddling, bridling, and basic riding skills.  Trail rides will go on mountainous trails and along the C&O Canal towpath.  Campers will be at the ranch for 3 hours each day and will spend the rest of their time at camp enjoying traditional camp activities including a river trip, swimming, hiking, campfires, Bible study and worship. Campers will be split into groups based on grade level and riding ability.
