General Sailing Camps 2025

Two sessions offered:  June 15-20  and June 22-27

Grades 6-12

Cost: $     

For beginner and intermediate level sailors with limited experience on sailboats before.  This program lives in the Lodge at West River and sails all day on the Rainbows.  Campers spend the week learning sailing basics like knot tying, boat terminology, rigging sails, etc.  Camper spend the entire day learning and sailing on the beautiful West River.  After dinner, they have time to go to the pool and other camp activities and join in worship at night.

Advanced Sailing Camp 2025

One session offered:  July 20-25 

Grades 10-12

Cost: $   

Designed for campers who have been to two or more years of Sailing Camp at West River, or have equivalent sailing expereince.  Campers can take their sailing and navigation skills to the next level and explore the Chesapeake Bay even beyond the West River.  The Advanced Camp will have a Lodge at camp as their home base, but campers will spend 1-3 non-consecutive nights sleeping on West River’s larger cabin sailboats at different anchorages or marinas around the Bay as they see some gorgeous scenery, learn more advanced sailing skills and grow a close-knit community in the midst of God’s creation.
